Tangail June 21,(V7N) - In a collision between a private car and a Mahindra vehicle in Madhupur, Tangail, two people have been killed. Eight others were injured in the incident. The accident occurred around 9 AM on Friday (June 21) at Malau Bari area in the Madhupur municipal town on the Tangail-Mymensingh regional highway.
 
Among the deceased, Kamrul Islam died on the spot. He was from the Joyna Bazar area in Sreepur Police Station, Gazipur, and worked at a local rice hotel. The other person died on the way to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital. The injured were initially taken to the Upazila Health Complex. Later, they were referred to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital for better treatment by the on-duty doctor.

We rescued the injured and sent them to Madhupur Upazila Health Complex. Although the driver of the private car fled quickly, one passenger trapped inside was rescued by breaking the glass."
 
Sazzad Hossain Manik, the emergency department doctor at Madhupur Upazila Health Complex, stated that one person had already died before reaching the hospital. Nine critically injured were sent to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital.
 
Nurul Amin, Sub-Inspector (SI) of Madhupur Police Station, said, "A collision occurred between a private car and a Mahindra in Malau Bari area in the morning. One passenger of the Mahindra died on the spot, and nine were injured."
 
He added that one more person died on the way to Madhupur Hospital, and the injured were later sent to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital for advanced treatment.
 
Madhupur Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Molla Azizur Rahman said the legal process regarding the deceased has been completed and their bodies have been handed over to their families.
