DHAKA, January 4, (V7N) - Fifty judges from Bangladesh's lower judiciary are set to participate in training programs at the National Judicial Academy and the State Judicial Academy in Madhya Pradesh, India, from February 10 to 20, 2025.
The Ministry of Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs approved the initiative based on recommendations from the Supreme Court, as per a recent gazette notification signed by Deputy Secretary Dr. Abul Hasnat of the Law and Justice Division.
The delegation includes:
District and Sessions Judges or equivalent officers
Additional District and Sessions Judges
Joint District Judges
Senior Assistant Judges
Assistant Judges
The training programs aim to enhance judicial expertise and promote knowledge sharing between the two countries' judicial systems.
The Indian government will bear all expenses related to the training, reflecting the ongoing collaboration between Bangladesh and India in legal and judicial affairs.
This initiative underscores the commitment to improving judicial practices and fostering closer ties between the neighboring nations.
