Dhaka, Mar 06 (V7N) – Chief Adviser Dr. Muhammad Yunus is set to embark on his first bilateral visit to China since assuming office in the interim government. He will leave for Beijing on March 26 aboard a special flight sent by Chinese President Xi Jinping, according to official sources.
During the visit, Dr. Yunus is expected to hold discussions with Xi Jinping, although the exact details of their meeting are yet to be confirmed.
His visit coincides with the BOAO Forum for Asia, which will take place in Hainan Province from March 25 to 28. The Chinese government extended an invitation for him to attend the conference, and the trip was finalized after Bangladesh confirmed participation.
This visit follows a similar diplomatic engagement earlier in January when Foreign Affairs Advisor Towhid Hossain traveled to China for his first official bilateral visit.
Dr. Yunus’s trip is expected to strengthen Bangladesh-China relations, with discussions likely to focus on trade, investment, and regional cooperation.
