Dhaka, Apr 09 (V7N) – Dr. Bidhan Ranjan Roy Poddar, Advisor to the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education, stressed the importance of organizing school activities in a way that naturally fosters moral values in children.

Speaking at the ‘Moral Education Development Program’, organized by the Bangladesh Student Welfare Trust at Segunbagicha on Wednesday (April 9), Dr. Poddar emphasized that children's moral development should be an integral part of their education.

He stated that imagination development is crucial for children’s mental growth, adding that the best way to impart moral education to children is through stories. He encouraged integrating moral lessons into the formal education system, ensuring that children receive both academic knowledge and ethical guidance.

Dr. Poddar also addressed the difference between colleges and universities, asserting that universities should not only be centers of teaching but also hubs for creating new knowledge. He highlighted the importance of understanding the distinct roles of these educational institutions in shaping the future of students.

In his closing remarks, he called for a collective effort to nurture the next generation with a balance of academic excellence and strong moral grounding, ensuring they grow up to be responsible, empathetic individuals.
