Chittagong, May 14 (V7N) – Chief Advisor Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus has formally handed over the document allocating 23 acres of land for the establishment of the Heart Foundation Hospital in Chittagong.

The document was presented to Mohammad Abdus Salam, Chairman of the Chittagong Heart Foundation, during a meeting held at the Chittagong Circuit House on Wednesday.

The land allocation is part of the interim government's efforts to improve the country’s healthcare infrastructure, especially in critical care areas like cardiology.

Several high-ranking government officials and advisors were present at the event, including Road Transport and Bridges Advisor Muhammad Faozul Kabir Khan, Education Advisor C. R Abrar, Fisheries and Livestock Advisor Farida Akhtar, Health Advisor Nurjahan Begum, Liberation War Affairs Advisor Faruk-e-Azam, and Special Envoy of the Chief Advisor Lutfe Siddiqui.

Other notable attendees included BIDA Chairman Chowdhury Ashiq Mahmud Bin Harun, Chief Coordinator for SDG Affairs Lamia Morshed, and Press Secretary to the Chief Advisor Shafiqul Alam.

This move is seen as a significant step toward strengthening specialized healthcare services in the port city and the surrounding southern region of the country.
