Dhaka, Nov 21 (V7N) — BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia met Chief Advisor Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus for a private discussion at Senakunj on Friday.
The Chief Advisor’s press wing reported that Dr. Yunus inquired about Khaleda Zia’s current health and wished her well. In response, Khaleda Zia thanked the Chief Advisor and also asked after the health of his wife, Afrozi Yunus.
Khaleda Zia left her Gulshan residence Firoza at 4:00 pm and arrived at Senakunj after about 30 minutes, accompanied by her daughter-in-law Syeda Shamila Rahman Sinthi and sister-in-law Nasrin Iskandar. Upon arrival, she was formally welcomed at the army camp before the courtesy call with Dr. Yunus, which was attended by Army Chief General Waqar-uz-Zaman.
Following the formalities, the two leaders held a private meeting.
Several senior BNP leaders also attended the Armed Forces Day program, including Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, Medical Board Chief Professor Shahabuddin Talukder, and members AZM Zahid Hossain, Mirza Abbas, Gayeshwar Chandra Roy, Abdul Moin Khan, Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury, Salahuddin Ahmed, Iqbal Hasan Mahmud Tuku, and Hafiz Uddin Ahmed.
