Dhaka, Nov 23 (V7N)- Home Affairs Advisor Jahangir Alam Chowdhury said that with the upcoming elections, rallies and processions are expected to increase, but there is no fear of a deterioration in the law and order situation.
He made the remarks at a briefing at the Secretariat following a meeting of the core committee on law and order on Sunday afternoon.
Chowdhury added, “The reservoir has been filled. There is no field to stand on. Everyone has to follow the building code. Otherwise, there is a fear of it getting worse in the future. RAJUK has to be vigilant about these issues.” He also urged everyone to remain alert in case of an earthquake.
Highlighting the lack of an early warning system in Bangladesh, he said, “I have heard that some countries have an app that can give an indication 10 seconds in advance. That app can be used to work.”
