DHAKA, Mar 14, (V7N) – Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology Minister Faqir Mahbub Anam said Saturday that earning public trust remains the foremost goal of the postal service, stressing that improved service quality will strengthen confidence in the institution.

The minister made the remarks while exchanging views with officials after visiting the Dhaka General Post Office (GPO), which he described as a historic and landmark institution in the country’s postal network.

He emphasized that maintaining a clean, disciplined, and efficient environment at the GPO is the collective responsibility of all concerned. With coordinated efforts, he said, the postal service can be transformed into a more modern and service‑friendly institution.

Posts and Telecommunications Division Secretary Abdun Naser Khan attended as special guest, while Directorate of Posts Director General Kazi Asadul Islam chaired the meeting.

Officials from different levels of the Directorate of Posts and other stakeholders were present during the minister’s visit.
