Dhaka, Mar 18 (V7N) – The rush of passengers returning home for Eid-ul-Fitr is evident at Kamalapur Railway Station, as travelers hurry to celebrate the festival with family and friends.
On Wednesday morning, large crowds gathered at the station, with many passengers struggling to find seats. Some have resorted to riding on the roofs of trains, highlighting the high demand for travel during the holiday period.
Despite the pressure, passengers expressed relief that train schedules have not been disrupted this year, making the journey easier compared to previous Eids.
“I want to reach my family in time for Eid,” said one traveler. “Even if it’s crowded or risky, it’s worth it to celebrate with my loved ones.”
Railway officials are working to manage the crowds and ensure the safe movement of passengers, while law enforcement agencies maintain security at the station.
