Dhaka, Mar 21 (V7N) – The holy festival of Eid-ul-Fitr, one of the largest religious celebrations of the Muslim community, is being observed across Bangladesh with due religious fervor, joy, and enthusiasm. A festive atmosphere has spread throughout cities and villages, as devotees gather in large numbers to participate in Eid congregations.
At the Baitul Mukarram National Mosque, the third congregation of Eid prayers has already been completed. According to the pre-scheduled timetable, the first three congregations were held at 7:00 am, 8:00 am, and 9:00 am, respectively, with thousands of worshippers in attendance. Three more congregations are scheduled to be held later in the day.
Following the prayers, special munajats were offered seeking peace, prosperity, and welfare for the country and the nation.
Meanwhile, the main Eid congregation was held at the National Eidgah Maidan, adjacent to the High Court, at 8:30 am. The congregation saw the participation of the President Md. Shahabuddin and the Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, who offered prayers alongside thousands of devotees.
Across the country, similar scenes were witnessed as Muslims gathered in Eidgahs and mosques, celebrating the festival in a spirit of unity, compassion, and brotherhood.
