A vibrant celebration of Bengali culture unfolded as a group of artists embarked on a mission to showcase the essence of contemporary Bengal to the world, aiming to secure a place in the Guinness World Records. The ambitious project, titled 'Alpanay Boishakh 1431,' commenced with the painting of Alpana, a traditional art form, along a 14-kilometer stretch from Mithamain zero point to Ashtagram zero point in the Haor of Kishoreganj.

Inaugurated by Member of Parliament and former Culture Minister Asaduzzaman Noor, the event witnessed the convergence of key figures including Kishoreganj-4 MP Rezwan Ahmed Taufiq, officials from Asiatic Experiential Marketing Limited, Banglalink Digital Communications Limited, and Berger Paints Bangladesh Limited, among others.

A remarkable display of artistic prowess, the endeavor involves 650 painters meticulously crafting Alpana on the 'all-weather' road, utilizing approximately 9,500 liters of paint. Illuminated by 20 autorickshaws adorned with LED lights, the project aims to surpass the previous record for the longest Alpana, spanning 10 kilometers, which was not recognized by the Guinness World Records.

Expressing delight, MP Rezwan Ahmed highlighted the significance of the initiative for Haor residents, envisioning it as a catalyst for promoting tourism and cultural heritage. He revealed plans to submit the accomplishment to Guinness World Records, with optimism for its recognition within a month.

State Minister for Posts, Telecommunications, and Information Technology Junaid Ahmed Palak is scheduled to inspect the monumental artwork, symbolizing the unity, creativity, and rich cultural heritage of Bengal, on April 14, marking Pahela Boishakh. As the world's attention turns to the vibrant canvas of Alpana, Bengali culture shines brightly on the global stage, poised to make history and inspire generations to come.
