During a press conference at Awami League President Sheikh Hasina's political office in Dhanmondi, Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader made striking comments regarding Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, likening him to Hitler and labeling him as "more dangerous" than the infamous dictator.

Quader expressed deep concern over the current global political landscape, highlighting echoes of Hitler's aggression and arrogance resurfacing, particularly in Netanyahu's leadership style. He emphasized Netanyahu's disregard for international institutions and his defiance towards the White House, citing Israel's actions despite calls for restraint.

Drawing attention to the devastating consequences of Israel's military actions, Quader mentioned the alarming death toll in Gaza, particularly among children. He criticized Netanyahu's decision to attack Iran despite warnings from influential nations like the United States.

In addition to his remarks on international affairs, Quader also addressed comments made by the US Ambassador to Dhaka, Peter Haas, regarding Bangladesh's democracy index. Quader challenged the ambassador, questioning the United States' own democratic standing.

Shifting focus, Quader commended Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's efforts in stabilizing commodity prices and boosting the economy, attributing the improved financial activity during Eid to her directives. He highlighted increased transactions within the banking sector and reiterated the party's commitment to implementing the prime minister's initiatives.

Concluding his statements, Quader expressed relief that people could resume work after the Eid celebrations, signaling a return to normalcy after the holiday period.
