The Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Ministry of Public Administration has recommended taking swift action to fill vacant posts in government offices.
At its second meeting, chaired by Muhammed Sadique, the committee suggested prioritizing the filling of approved and vacant posts in various ministries and subordinate institutions.
Currently, 1,546,072 out of 1,916,519 approved posts in 58 ministries/departments are filled, leaving 370,447 vacancies. The committee stressed the need for quick action, especially for posts in grades 13-20.
Committee members including Public Administration Minister Farhad Hossain and other MPs attended the meeting.
