Dhaka, Sep 10 (V7N) – The government plans to spend an estimated Tk 5 crore on a meeting set to commemorate the martyrs of the service quota reform movement and the subsequent protests aimed at toppling the government. The event is scheduled for September 14 at the Bangabandhu International Conference Centre.

Dr. Salehuddin Ahmed, Finance and Commerce Adviser, revealed the details to the media on Tuesday after the Advisory Council on Economic Relations Division gave the green light for the event’s procurement process.

He further stated that foreign guests will be invited, with student representatives Nahid Islam and Asif Mahmud in charge of finalizing the guest list.
