DHAKA, Jan 8, (V7N) – The ‘Made in Bangladesh Exhibition’ is scheduled to take place in Sao Paulo, Brazil, from June 15-18, aiming to showcase a wide range of Bangladeshi exportable goods, including ready-made garments, pharmaceuticals, leather, and textiles.

Organized by the Brazil Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BBCCI), the event seeks to promote Bangladeshi products, expand market diversification, and strengthen bilateral trade ties in Latin America, particularly Brazil, BBCCI leaders announced at a press conference today.

A Platform for Economic Growth

Speaking at the event, Brazilian Ambassador to Bangladesh Paulo Fernando Dias Feres expressed enthusiasm for increasing Brazilian investments in Bangladesh.

"Brazilian entrepreneurs have shown a strong interest in expanding their investments in Bangladesh," said Ambassador Feres. "This exhibition is a critical step toward fostering economic collaboration between our two countries."

The ambassador highlighted the exhibition’s potential to deepen mutual understanding and economic cooperation, describing it as a platform for businesses to showcase their strengths and form impactful partnerships.

Opportunities for Bangladeshi Entrepreneurs

BBCCI Vice President Md Saiful Alam emphasized the significance of the event for Bangladeshi exporters.

“This is a golden opportunity for our exporters to penetrate new markets and elevate their businesses to a global stage,” Alam said, adding that over 100 companies are expected to participate.

He encouraged businesses across diverse sectors—including garments, jute products, and pharmaceuticals—to seize this chance to expand internationally. Alam also invited Bangladeshi importers to explore high-quality Brazilian goods such as soybeans, sugar, and industrial machinery.

Keynote Address Highlights Bilateral Potential

BBCCI Secretary General Md Joynal Abedin, delivering the keynote address, described the expo as a bridge between cultures and commerce.

"With bilateral trade between Bangladesh and Brazil valued at $2.53 billion in 2022, the potential for exponential growth is undeniable," Abedin said. "This expo will help align Bangladesh’s jute industry with Brazil’s sustainability goals and support Bangladesh's industrialisation through Brazilian industrial equipment."

Abedin also announced an early bird registration offer for businesses, available until January 31, with exclusive discounts.

Strengthening Economic Ties

The exhibition is expected to facilitate networking, promote exports, and open avenues for investment, aligning with BBCCI’s vision of fostering economic collaborationbetween Bangladesh and Brazil.
