Bangladesh saw a surge in investment proposals during January-March 2024, with Taka 33,806.29 crore pouring in from 302 industrial units registered with the Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA).
These proposals, comprising Taka 17,636.9 crore from local investors and Taka 16,169.37 crore from foreign investors, signify a robust interest in the country's industrial sector.
Among the 302 industrial units, the majority, 270, are local ventures, while 18 are foreign-owned, and 14 operate as joint ventures.
These proposals are anticipated to generate 4,735 job opportunities, contributing to employment growth and economic development in Bangladesh.
