Dhaka, Mar 29 (V7N) – To ensure timely train schedules and resolve schedule disruptions during the Eid-ul-Fitr rush, Bangladesh Railway has canceled the stoppages of nine Dhaka-bound intercity trains at Airport Railway Station.
Trains Affected by the Decision
The stoppage cancellation is effective from March 24 until the day before Eid, as per the special Eid work plan of Bangladesh Railway. The affected trains include:

This step aims to reduce congestion, maintain discipline, and ensure smoother railway operations during the festive season.
Other Measures for Eid Travel

Alternative Departures: Sundarban, Madhumati, Benapole, Jahanabad, Rupsha Bangla Express, and Nakshi Kantha commuter trains are now departing from Dhaka Railway Station’s suburban platform to ease passenger movement.

Increased Security: Major railway stations including Dhaka, Airport, Joydebpur, Chattogram, Mymensingh, Sylhet, Rajshahi, and Khulna have been placed under 24-hour security surveillance by GRP, RNB, BGB, local police, and RAB to prevent ticketless passengers from entering.

Passenger Movement: Despite the stoppage cancellations, Eid travelers are moving smoothly through stations like Kamalapur, Tejgaon, and Airport Railway Station.
Authorities expect that these measures will help reduce delays and ensure a hassle-free journey for Eid travelers.
