"The Police operations against drug dealers and users in various areas under the jurisdiction of several police stations around Dhaka"

The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has detained 29 persons in total as part of its anti-drug operations in the nation's capital on suspicion of possessing and selling narcotics during the past 24 hours and Friday morning at six in the morning.

The DMP released a statement stating that officers carried out these operations against drug dealers and users in various areas under the jurisdiction of several police stations around the city.

Additionally, between 6 a.m. on January 25 and 6 a.m. on Friday, they arrested 29 drug traffickers in total and seized large amounts of narcotics from their belongings.

Police found 20,685 pieces of illegal yaba tables, 98 grams of heroin, 3.700 kg of cannabis (ganja), and 100 bottles of phensidyl syrup in their hands during the anti-drug operations, according to the release.

Under the Narcotics Control Act, police filed 26 different cases against the arrestees in these relationships with the corresponding police stations.
