Ctg Dec 04 (V7N) – A new case has been lodged in connection with the violent confrontation between law enforcement and supporters of Chinmoy Krishna Das Brahmachari at the Chittagong court premises.
The complaint, filed on Tuesday evening at Kotwali police station by Mohammad Ullah Chowdhury, a businessman from Khulshi, accuses 29 named individuals and 40 to 50 unidentified persons. The named individuals are reported to be affiliated with the Chhatra League, Jubo League, Swechchhasebak League, Awami League, and International Society for Krishna Consciousness (Iskcon), according to Additional Deputy Commissioner (Media) Kazi Md. Tarek Aziz of CMP.
Among the accused are two former ward councilors, along with numerous unidentified individuals, Tarek Aziz confirmed.
The complainant recounted that on November 26, he visited a lawyer's office near the court for legal counsel regarding his business. Upon leaving around 3:30 PM, he encountered an armed group in the area who allegedly identified him as a member of Shibir, a political group.
