Jhalakathi, Oct 13, V7N- On October 13, 2024, a vibrant rally and discussion meeting took place to commemorate International Disaster Mitigation Day, organized by the district administration in collaboration with the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief. The event was held in the conference room of the District Commissioner's office, focusing on the theme "Empowering the Next Generation: Building a Disaster Resilient Future."

The meeting featured Md. Ashrafur Rahman, the Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate of Jhalkathi, as the chief guest. He was joined by Ujjal Kumar Roy, the Superintendent of Police, Jhalkathi, who served as a special guest. Other notable attendees included Mahmud Hossain Parvez, Joint Director of National Security Intelligence, and Md. Ruhul Amin, Additional District Magistrate of Jhalkathi, among others.
