Tangail, Oct 29, V7N- In observance of International Lead Pollution Prevention Week, a vibrant rally was held on Tuesday morning in Tangail with the theme "If lead pollution is stopped, children's intelligence will increase." The rally, organized in front of the District Civil Surgeon’s office, proceeded through various streets and concluded at the District Art Academy.
Following the rally, a competition and discussion were held, presided over by Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Ziaul Islam as the chief guest. Other notable attendees included Dr. Minhaj Uddin Miar, Civil Surgeon, Khandaker Sadikur Rahman, Supervisor of Tangail General Hospital, Abdul Latif Mollah, Deputy Director of the District Family Planning Office, Muhammad Azizul Haque, Deputy Civil Surgeon, Rebecca Sultana, District Education Officer, and Shariful Islam, Sadar Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer.
In the competition, Ghatail Cantonment Public School and College secured the champion’s position, while Bindubasini Government Girls High School was the runner-up. Officers from various departments, students, and staff from the Civil Surgeon’s office also participated in the event. Vivas Krishna Chowdhury attended as well.
