Cox's Bazar, Oct 29, V7N — Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) conducted a major anti-drug operation in Ukhia, Cox's Bazar, seizing 28,000 yaba tablets and detaining one suspect. The operation also led to the confiscation of a private car allegedly used to transport the drugs. The detained individual, identified as Md. Abdul Munaf (35) from Lombari village in Teknaf Upazila, was apprehended during a raid in the Gwalmara Pahar area of Palongkhali Union around 9 a.m. on Tuesday, October 29.

In a separate operation the previous evening, BGB personnel arrested a man carrying 8,000 yaba tablets in a private vehicle at the Rejukhal check post in Ukhia around 8 p.m.

Lt. Col. Abdullah Al Mashrooqi, Commander of the 34th BGB Battalion, confirmed both operations and the arrests. He stated that the confiscated yaba, vehicle, and suspects were seized in two separate actions, and a case is being processed against the accused.
