Rajshahi,NOV 02, V7N- The body of a man named Sanjit Kumar Das, also known as Ghana Ghosh (36), was recovered from Sagarpara Bara Pond in Rajshahi on Saturday afternoon.

Local residents spotted the body floating in the pond and informed the Boalia Model Police Station of the Rajshahi Metropolitan Police (RMP), who then retrieved it. Ghana Ghosh, who sold milk by going door-to-door, was reportedly last seen on Thursday night. According to family sources, Ghana had returned home after selling milk around 10 p.m. that night. His wife and children were at his mother’s house for Diwali, and Ghana was alone at home. He had spoken with his wife on the phone upon returning. Later that evening, he left his home to bathe in the large Sagarpara pond.

When his wife returned the following day and could not find him, she began searching for him. It was not until Saturday afternoon that locals discovered Ghana’s body floating in the pond.

Boalia Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mehedi Masud stated that the body was taken to the police station. While no visible injuries were found on Ghana’s body, a post-mortem examination will reveal the exact cause of death. Legal procedures are currently underway.
