Rangamati, Sep 17 (V7N) – A Khulna University student, Rinki, died and twelve others were injured when their vehicle fell into a ditch while traveling to Sajeke in Baghaichhari Upazila of Rangamati.

Rinki, a student of the Physics Department, was among a group of university students on an educational trip. The vehicle reportedly lost control in the Hauzpara area of Sajeke, causing the jeep to overturn and fall into a ditch. Three of the injured students are reported to be in critical condition.

Following the accident, the army, police, and local residents assisted in rescuing the victims. They are being treated at Dighinala Upazila Health Complex.

Sajeke Police Station Officer-in-Charge Kanan Sarkar confirmed the death of the student.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident.
