Habiganj, Nov 11 (V7N) — Alhaj Syed Mohammad Faisal, the BNP-nominated candidate for Habiganj-4 (Madhabpur-Chunarughat) constituency, pledged to transform Madhabpur-Chunarughat into a prosperous region if elected. He made the statement during a public rally organized by the Baghshura Union BNP on Monday afternoon.

Faisal emphasized that development in the region would be achieved through active participation of the local population. “We will create new horizons of progress by integrating education, healthcare, agriculture, and employment opportunities. Restoring citizens’ voting rights will help us reclaim democracy, and the people themselves will become the driving force of development,” he said.

The rally was held at Baghshura Road Market and presided over by Union BNP President Shahid Member, with Upazila BNP member Abdal Mia acting as the program coordinator.

Prominent figures attending the rally included former Upazila Chairman Syed M.O. Shahjahan, former municipal mayor Habibur Rahman Manik, former vice-chairman Abdul Aziz, Upazila BNP President Samsul Islam Kamal, General Secretary Hamidur Rahman Hamdu, Organizational Secretary and Chairman Mahbubur Rahman Sohag, Municipal BNP President Golap Khan, General Secretary Alauddin Al Roni, Upazila Jubo Dal Convener Enayet Ullah, Swechchhasebak Dal Secretary Farid Mia, and Chhatra Dal Convener Maruf Mia, among others.

Speakers highlighted that the history of democracy, written in the blood of the people, cannot be erased. Residents, long subjected to oppression, now seek change. Faisal assured that under BNP rule, practical steps would be taken to improve the lives of farmers, workers, and laborers in Madhabpur-Chunarughat. Plans include revitalizing local industries, enhancing infrastructure, improving education quality, and strengthening healthcare services.

Faisal stated, “I am in politics for the welfare of the people, not personal gain. The victory of ‘Dhaner Shish’ (the BNP election symbol) is the victory of the people. If elected as your representative, I will illuminate every village and create employment opportunities.”

He also emphasized the importance of youth, saying, “Young people are the strength of the nation. Providing them with jobs and training will propel Bangladesh forward. We envision a country where people can speak freely, express opinions, and receive justice.”

The rally concluded with the crowd chanting “Victory of Dhaner Shish,” turning Baghshura field into a jubilant political gathering. Attendees, including young people, women, and elders, expressed their strong support and vowed to ensure BNP’s victory in the upcoming 13th National Parliamentary Elections to achieve development and prosperity in Madhabpur-Chunarughat.
