A 400 kg "sword fish" belonging to a rare species has been captured in the Bay of Bengal near the Cox's Bazar border upazila Teknaf. The fish was sighted early on Wednesday (April 24) near the Teknaf Shamlapur Puranpara Jetty.
Hundreds of locals came to view the fish. The fish cost eighty thousand taka, purchased by Dola Mia, a fish trader. Fishing reports state that on Wednesday, the fish was captured in the net.
This fish is the largest to have ever been caught in their net, despite the fact that this species is occasionally captured. According to the fish purchaser, the fish was taken on Wednesday morning in the net of a nearby fisherman named Abu Tayub.
For eighty thousand taka, I purchased the fish. It is almost 25 feet long and weighs 400 Kg. Once the fish is prepared, it will be packed and sold in the municipal market. The fish is known for being tasty at the city market.
