Chuadanga, Jan 02, (V7N) - A controversial message appeared on the digital screen at the main gate of Andulbaria Girls' Government Primary School in the Jibannagar upazila of Chuadanga district on Wednesday evening, sparking concern among local residents. The message, which read “Awami League will return again, in a dangerous form,” was noticed by locals and quickly raised alarms.

The incident prompted local authorities, including senior district officials and representatives from Jibannagar Police Station, to visit the site. Upon their arrival, the authorities took immediate steps to address the situation.

Md Al Amin, the Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) of Jibannagar, confirmed that a three-member investigation committee had been established to probe the matter. The committee will be led by Jibannagar Upazila Agriculture Officer Alamgir Hossain. The other members of the committee include Assistant Upazila Education Officer Md. Firozul Islam and Mahmudur Rahman, the Assistant Programme Officer of the ICT Department in Jibannagar upazila. The committee has been instructed to complete the investigation and submit a detailed report within two working days.

Shafiqul Islam, the acting headmaster of the school, stated that the digital screen had been installed at the school in 2016 by a private company, and it had been used to display educational messages in green text without any issues in the past. The provocative message was an unexpected occurrence, and the school administration reported the incident to the local authorities, including the Upazila Education Officer, immediately.

In response, the electrical connection to the digital screen was disconnected to prevent further incidents. Experts are expected to inspect the equipment to determine if there were any technical malfunctions or security breaches that led to the unauthorized message.

Upazila Education Officer Ismail Hossain speculated that the message might have been posted by someone who had hacked the app used to operate the screen. The board was managed through an app, which allowed it to display messages. He assured that an investigation is underway to track down the source of the message and to determine whether it was the result of hacking or another form of tampering.

Mamun Hossain, the officer-in-charge (OC) of Jibannagar Police Station, stated that the police had conducted an inspection of the site as part of the investigation. Authorities have assured the public that they are actively working to uncover the details surrounding the incident and will take appropriate action once the investigation is complete.
