Rajshahi, Jan 07, (V7N) – Rajshahi University has announced a new, streamlined process for distributing provisional certificates to its students. Starting with the 2023 final exams, students will be able to collect their provisional certificates just seven working days after the publication of their undergraduate (Honors) or postgraduate (Master’s) final exam results. Certificates will be distributed through the office of their respective residential halls, making the process more efficient and accessible.

Key Decisions and Implementation

The announcement was made through a press release issued by the university’s Public Relations Office on Monday evening. The decision emerged from the first meeting of a newly formed committee, tasked with reforming and simplifying the services provided by the university’s exam control department. The meeting was chaired by the Acting Vice-Chancellor, Professor Farid Uddin Khan, and attended by senior officials.

The release stated:

Provisional certificates will now be provided within seven working days of the final exam results.

Students will receive their certificates from their respective residential hall offices.

The required fee for the provisional certificate will be collected at the time of final exam form submission.

Improved Accessibility for Students

This reform aims to make the certificate distribution process faster and less cumbersome for students. Previously, delays in receiving provisional certificates caused significant inconvenience, especially for those needing the documents for higher studies or employment.

Applicability

The new system will apply to both undergraduate and postgraduate students who completed their final exams from 2023 onwards. Students are advised to stay in contact with their residential hall offices for updates regarding certificate availability.

This initiative reflects the university’s commitment to enhancing student services and addressing long-standing administrative hurdles. It is expected to benefit thousands of students every year by providing quicker access to essential academic documents.
