Santhia, Sept 13 (V7N) – More than 5,000 students participated in a large-scale career guidance program organized by the Shaheed Maulana Nizami Foundation at Santhia Government Degree College field on Saturday. The foundation, established in memory of former Jamaat-e-Islami leader Maulana Matiur Rahman Nizami, hosted the event for students from grades 10 to 12.

The program included a quiz competition and prize distribution, aiming to inspire students about career planning and future opportunities. According to Barrister Najibur Rahman Momen, secretary of the foundation and Jamaat’s candidate for the Pabna-1 constituency, the initiative was designed to provide practical career guidance to youth. He said such programs would continue in the future, opening new horizons and supporting students in achieving success in their professional lives.

The event was conducted by S.S. Mutasim Billah, assistant secretary of Islami Chhatra Shibir’s central law affairs division. Guest speakers included Mufti Ahmed Shawki Afifi, lecturer at Al-Azhar University in Egypt; Dr. Nakibur Rahman, professor at the University of North Carolina, USA; Dr. Liaquat Hussain, assistant professor at Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College, Bogura; Advocate Al Mamun Russel, lawyer at the Supreme Court of Bangladesh; Nur Mohammad Abu Taher, managing director of Guardian Publications; Mustafa Faisal Parvez, assistant professor at Kirsehir Ahi Evran University in Turkey and secretary general of the International Islamic Federation of Student Organizations; and Sirajul Islam, former central president of Islami Chhatra Shibir and urban planner.

The program was also attended by Pabna district Jamaat secretary Professor Abdul Gaffar Khan, former Santhia upazila chairman Mokhlesur Rahman, and other district and upazila-level leaders and activists of Jamaat-e-Islami and Chhatra Shibir.
