Dhaka, Mar 26 (V7N) – Popular singer and television personality Dr. Mahfuzur Rahman, known for his annual Eid performances on ATN Bangla, will not be singing this upcoming Eid of Ramadan. The news was confirmed by the public relations department of ATN Bangla.
Dr. Rahman has been singing for his audience every Eid since 2016, becoming a beloved tradition for many. However, due to health concerns and other personal commitments, he will not be performing this year. The public relations team clarified that the decision was made due to his physical unwellness and busyness.
Last Eid of Sacrifice, Dr. Rahman continued his tradition with two music shows: a solo concert titled "Amar Chokh Alo," which aired at 10:30 PM, and a duet performance called "Wada Karo" featuring singers Neelima, Bhavna Ahmed, and Tahmina, where they performed Hindi songs alongside him. His performance in his solo concert "Jarai Achi Tomay," a mix of Bengali and Hindi songs, also received widespread appreciation.
Dr. Rahman’s absence this Eid marks the first time since 2016 that his music show will not be featured. Fans are hopeful for his swift recovery and look forward to his return next year.
