The film will be directed by Kolkata-based filmmaker Rajeev Kumar Biswas. The shooting of the project is scheduled to begin in May.

Bangladesh, Thailand, Indonesia and Vietnam have been chosen as shooting locations.

On the occasion, Ananta said that it was my dream to work in the Masud Rana series. Ever since I worked in the country, many people called me the James Bond of Bengal. Even the journalists did not know that I am working in the film 'Cheetah'. However, since the announcement of Jazz, many people have commented on Facebook, the James Bond of Bengal is Ananta Jalil. I feel blessed for that. About ninety-five percent of the comments were about me.'

Sohel Rana first appeared in front of the camera as Masud Rana in 1974. Then the film 'MR-Nine: Do or Die' was made in joint effort of Bangladesh and USA. It was based on the story 'Dhwans Pahar' from the Masud Rana series.
