Dhaka, Jan 05 (V7N) — BNP Standing Committee Member Salahuddin Ahmed said that the party has not been able to create a conducive environment for the return of BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman to the country.
Speaking to journalists at the airport on Sunday, Salahuddin expressed hope that Tarique Rahman would return soon.

Salahuddin made this statement upon his arrival in Dhaka from London.

In response to a question, he said: “The constitution cannot be buried.”

He also highlighted the possibility of amendments and revisions to the constitution.

Salahuddin Ahmed further said: “Any strategy to delay the election will be rejected by the people. Therefore, it is crucial to hold elections promptly. New political parties are welcomed, but they must not be king’s parties. They should engage in fair and democratic politics.”
