Munshiganj, Feb 05 (V7N) — BNP Vice Chairman Asaduzzaman Ripon has accused some advisors of the interim government of indulging in luxury, comparing their behaviour to that of fallen dictators. He claimed that certain advisors are using multiple cars worth crores of taka, calling on the Chief Advisor to remove them from the council.
Ripon made these remarks while distributing winter clothes at the Balur field of Panchgaon Union Bazar in Tongibari Upazila, Munshiganj, on Wednesday afternoon.
“They all helped bring the interim government to power. But is this government properly fulfilling its responsibilities after taking the oath? They talk about reforms, but some of their advisors are enjoying privileges like the previous fallen government. This will only slow down the reform agenda,” Ripon said.
He further stressed the need for immediate elections, asserting that delaying the democratic process would only create more uncertainty.
BNP leaders have been vocal about their dissatisfaction with the interim government, and Ripon's remarks signal growing tensions regarding the government's performance and priorities.
