Sylhet, June 28 (V7N) — BNP Standing Committee member Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury has accused the allies of what he termed "fascist forces" of destroying Bangladesh’s economy over the past 17 years. He made the remarks during a business dialogue program at Mendibag, Sylhet on Saturday afternoon.
Addressing the event, Khasru stated, “The mindset of the people of Bangladesh has changed. Politics as before will no longer work. If BNP comes to power, we will create employment for one crore people within 18 months.”
He strongly criticized the current business environment, saying it has fallen into the grip of a small group, destroying opportunities for ordinary citizens. “Every individual must have the scope to engage in business. If we truly want to build the country at this time, business must be democratized,” he added.
Khasru’s comments come amid growing political and economic debates as the country prepares for its next national election.
