Dhaka, Nov 07 (V7N) — Dhaka University Central Students' Union (DUCSU) Vice President Sadiq Kayem has declared that the “Liberation War and July business will not continue in the new Bangladesh.”
He made this statement while addressing a reception for DUCSU’s elected representatives organized by Chhtra Shibir at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Center on Friday (November 7) morning.
Sadiq Kayem said that the first and main responsibility of the interim government was to fulfill the aspirations of the July martyrs and bring Sheikh Hasina and her associates to justice. However, even after one and a half years, no verdict has been delivered against them, he alleged.
He also warned that if the reform proposal is vetoed, the consequences will be worse than those faced by the fascists.
The DUCSU VP urged all political parties to come forward with a spirit of unity to build a new Bangladesh based on the reform proposal.
