Dhaka, Jan 29 (V7N) — Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman has said that the country’s wealth and dignity will be safe in the hands of those who take responsibility on February 12, adding that Bangladesh will embark on a new journey from February 13.

He made the remarks on Thursday after inaugurating Jamaat’s office and a multimedia campaign bus at Mirpur 10 in the capital.

Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said Jamaat seeks the victory of the people, claiming that if Jamaat wins, all 18 crore citizens of the country will be the winners.
“The people of the country want change this time,” he said.

Referring to a recent incident in Sherpur, the Jamaat Ameer alleged that the attack there occurred due to a lack of trust in the people, without elaborating further.

Later, addressing voters in his constituency Dhaka-15, Dr. Shafiqur Rahman urged local residents to cast their votes in favor of the ‘scale’ symbol, Jamaat-e-Islami’s election symbol.

The event was part of Jamaat’s ongoing campaign activities ahead of the 13th National Parliamentary Elections.
