Sirajganj, Sep 14 (V7N) - Nearly 40 people, including women, were injured when a passenger bus fell into a ditch while trying to avoid a CNG vehicle in Sirajganj. The accident occurred on Saturday afternoon in Chonagacha Bazar, Sirajganj Sadar Upazila.
The bus, operated by Heart Enterprise and carrying 50-55 passengers, was en route to Kazipur from the city. As the bus reached Chonagacha Bazar, it lost control and plunged into a ditch while swerving to avoid a reckless CNG vehicle coming from the opposite direction.
Sub-Inspector Daniul Islam of Sirajganj Sadar Police Station confirmed that approximately 40 injured passengers have been rescued and are receiving treatment at Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib General Hospital and Shaheed M Monsur Ali Medical College Hospital.
