DHAKA, Jan 12, (V7N) – A fire broke out this morning at a garage in the Tejgaon truck stand area of the capital but was swiftly brought under control, officials confirmed.

According to Talha Bin Zasim, media wing officer of the Fire Service and Civil Defence, the fire ignited around 8:05 am. In response, three fire engines from the Tejgaon fire station arrived at the scene within five minutes and managed to fully extinguish the blaze after an hour of intense efforts by 9:00 am.

Six trucks were completely gutted in the fire, but no casualties were reported, Zasim added.

The cause of the fire remains unknown as investigations are ongoing.
