Dhaka, Jan 07 (V7N) – Bangladesh-based Australian High Commissioner Susan Riley paid a courtesy visit to Chief of Army Staff General Waker-uz-Zaman at the Army Headquarters on Tuesday.
During the meeting, both officials exchanged cordial greetings and discussed various avenues to further enhance bilateral military cooperation between Bangladesh and Australia.
High Commissioner Riley expressed Australia’s willingness to provide support aimed at strengthening the operational capabilities of the Bangladesh Armed Forces.
Chief of Army Staff General Waker-uz-Zaman highlighted the potential for future joint initiatives between the two countries and emphasized the importance of expanding the scope of military diplomacy.
The meeting reflects ongoing efforts to deepen defense collaboration and strategic engagement between Bangladesh and Australia, reinforcing mutual trust and cooperation in the security sector.
