The High Court has issued a directive compelling the top three officials of the Transcom Group to return to Bangladesh promptly and present themselves before the court without facing any obstacles. The order stipulates that they must surrender to the court within 72 hours upon their arrival in the country.

The individuals in question are Shahnaz Rahman, the current chairman of the group, Simeen Rahman, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), and Zaraif Ayat Hossain, the Head of Transformation.

This directive follows a petition filed by Shahzreh Huq, the younger daughter of the late Latifur Rahman, founder chairman of Transcom Group, challenging a prior order of the High Court. Simeen Rahman, the CEO, is the eldest daughter of Latifur Rahman. The petition stemmed from separate cases filed against them.

Legal representatives have confirmed that the aforementioned Transcom Group officials are currently residing abroad. In response to the pending cases, a writ petition was submitted on their behalf, seeking the High Court's intervention to facilitate their return to Bangladesh and ensure their smooth surrender to the court.

During the initial hearing on March 20, a divisional bench instructed the three officials to surrender to the court within 60 days without encountering any harassment. Subsequently, Shahzreh Huq appealed to the Appellate Division, seeking a stay on this order.

On March 21, the Appellate Division Chamber, under the leadership of Justice M Inayetur Rahim, directed the safe return of the three Transcom Group officials and mandated their surrender to the court within 72 hours. Following an appeal against the High Court's order, the Chamber Court modified the directive accordingly.

Shahzreh Huq initiated legal action by filing three cases on February 22 at the Gulshan police station, accusing multiple individuals, including the aforementioned officials, of fraudulent activities related to the company's shares and assets.
