Mymensingh, May 23 (V7N) – Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has described the incident involving child Ramisa as deeply tragic and emphasized that the government is committed to ensuring justice through the rule of law.

He made the remarks on Saturday (May 23) afternoon after inaugurating the re-excavation work of the Trishal canal in Mymensingh.

The Prime Minister said that while the government is determined to ensure punishment for crimes under legal procedures, all trials must follow established laws and regulations. He added that attempts by some groups to create unrest over the issue are undermining due process.

He also criticized recent incidents of road blockades, traffic disruption, and arson, saying such actions create public suffering and hinder the enforcement of law and order.

Referring to past incidents, he said that during previous periods of unrest, political groups including BNP had provided support to affected families, while accusing some current critics of being absent at that time.

He further urged the public to remain vigilant against those who, according to him, are attempting to destabilize the country and spread chaos instead of focusing on public welfare.

The Prime Minister concluded by stating that efforts to create disorder in the country would not succeed, and called for national unity in maintaining stability and justice.
