Dhaka, August 24 — The Ministry of Home Affairs has announced that no new appointments will be made for general Ansar positions at this time. Additionally, existing Ansar members have been instructed to return to their workplaces. This directive was issued in a circular signed by Mohammad Abdul Momen, the Senior Secretary of the Public Security Department, on Saturday afternoon.

The notification stated that the Chief Adviser has been made aware of the demands raised by general Ansar members. The government is currently reviewing these demands with consideration. The circular mentioned that some of the demands initially appear to be reasonable.

To address these concerns, a committee led by the Director General of Ansar-VDP and including representatives of general Ansar members has been established. This committee will evaluate the demands and provide rational recommendations within seven working days.
