Dhaka, Feb 12, (V7N) - Hossain Mohammad Murad, also known as Sohel Murad, the personal assistant (PA) to former Member of Parliament (MP) Sheikh Helal Uddin, was arrested on Tuesday night at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka.
 
The arrest was confirmed by Rezaul Karim, the Additional Commissioner of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), who stated that Murad’s detention was related to ongoing investigations, and the authorities are currently processing the necessary legal steps.
 
According to police officials, Murad was taken into custody after his arrival at the airport, though the exact circumstances surrounding his arrest have not been disclosed yet. Further details about the case will be made public once the investigations are completed.
 
As of now, the legal procedures regarding Murad’s arrest are in process, and the authorities are working on determining the next steps in the case.
 
The incident has drawn attention given Murad's connection to Sheikh Helal Uddin, a prominent political figure. The case is currently under investigation by the Dhaka Metropolitan Police’s Detective Branch (DB).
