Pabna, Mar 03 (V7N) - Police have recovered the hanging body of a night watchman, Saidul Islam (55), from a classroom at Bangala Bahumukhi High School in Chatmohar, Pabna. The incident occurred on Monday (March 3) afternoon.
Saidul Islam, son of Akkel Ali of Bangala Uttarpara village in Dbigram union, had been working as a night watchman at the school for a long time. According to local sources, he had been suffering from a brain tumor for an extended period, often experiencing severe headaches. His condition had worsened over time, making the pain unbearable.
On Monday afternoon, as another headache episode began, he informed his wife that he was going to the school but did not respond to further inquiries. About an hour later, Hasan Ali, the school's office assistant, arrived at the school for official work and saw Saidul Islam’s body hanging in the classroom through the window. Locals rushed to the scene, brought him down, and took him to a local village doctor, who declared him dead.
Chatmohar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Manjurul Alam confirmed that no injury marks were found on the body. Initial investigations suggest that it was a suicide, and since the family did not file any complaints, the body was handed over to relatives. A UD (Unnatural Death) case has been filed at the police station regarding the incident.
