Rajshahi, Apr 7 (V7N) – A significant number of students, totaling 181,904, are scheduled to participate in the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations under the Rajshahi Education Board. The examinations are set to commence nationwide next Thursday, July 10th.

"This time, 181,904 students are taking part in the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations under the Rajshahi Education Board. Of these, 94,610 are male and 87,294 are female. This time, the number of male examinees is more," a statement from the Rajshahi Education Board confirmed.

Across the eight districts under the Rajshahi Education Board, a total of 269 examination centers have been established. The board has stated that all necessary preparations have been finalized at these centers under their skilled supervision.

"There are a total of 269 centers in 8 districts under the Rajshahi Education Board. All kinds of preparations have already been completed at the centers under the skilled supervision of the Rajshahi Education Board," the board announced.

Professor A. N. M. Mofakhkharul Islam, Chairman of the Rajshahi Education Board, has urged all center secretaries to ensure that the examinations are conducted in a fair, organized, and transparent manner.

"Rajshahi Education Board Chairman Prof. A. N. M. Mofakhkharul Islam has urged the center secretaries to conduct the exams in a fair, beautiful and orderly manner," the board stated.

The Chairman recently emphasized that any center secretary found involved in illegal activities related to the examination will face strict legal action in accordance with the board's regulations. He stressed the importance of coordination between center secretaries, the education board, district and police administrations, upazila executive officers, and all affiliated schools to maintain a fair and orderly examination environment. He also appealed for the cooperation of public representatives, administration, law enforcement agencies, teachers, and guardians.

"Regarding the SSC examination, he recently said that if any center secretary is involved in any illegal activity related to the examination, legal action will be taken as per the board's rules. He emphasized on the importance of the center secretaries conducting the examination in a fair and orderly manner by coordinating with the education board, district administration, police administration, upazila executive officer and all the schools under their center. He also sought the sincere cooperation of public representatives, administration, law enforcement agencies and all teachers and guardians," Professor Islam conveyed.

The Chairman extended his best wishes for success to all the examinees and acknowledged the hard work of parents and teachers in preparing the students for these crucial examinations. Professor Dr. Shamim Ara Chowdhury, Secretary of the Rajshahi Education Board, also sought the cooperation of all central secretaries present at a recent meeting.

"The Chairman wished all the examinees well and success. He also congratulated the parents and teachers for their hard work in preparing the students for the Secondary School Certificate Examination. Rajshahi Education Board Secretary Professor Dr. Shamim Ara Chowdhury sought cooperation from everyone through all the central secretaries present at the meeting," the board reported.

Meanwhile, the Rajshahi Metropolitan Police has issued security guidelines and restrictions to ensure the smooth and peaceful conduct of the SSC examinations within the city. These restrictions will be in effect from Thursday, April 10th, to May 13th, covering 27 examination centers in Rajshahi city, which include SSC, Dakhil, and vocational streams.

"Meanwhile, the city police have also issued security instructions and restrictions to ensure the smooth conduct of the SSC examination. A press release sent by the city police said that the Secondary School Certificate (SSC), Dakhil, SSC (Vocational) and Dakhil (Vocational) examinations will be held at 27 examination centers in Rajshahi city. The Rajshahi city police has imposed some restrictions to maintain law and order during the examination," the city police announced.

The police have prohibited processions, meetings, rallies, demonstrations, the use of microphones, and the carrying of explosives and weapons within a 200-yard radius of the examination centers during the examination period. Additionally, restrictions have been placed on the use of loudspeakers, playing loud music, and any other noise-making activities in public places and near examination centers. Violators will face legal action.

"On the occasion of the exam, processions, meetings, rallies, demonstrations, miking, carrying explosives and weapons have been banned within 200 (two hundred) yards around the exam centers from Thursday (April 10) to May 13. In addition, the use of loudspeakers in or near public places, singing or playing music in any premises or house, using a microphone, loudspeaker or any other device to amplify music or other sounds, making noise in any other way; or, using anything in any premises or business center that makes loud noises has been banned. Appropriate legal action will be taken against those who violate the law. This ban was issued by Rabia in a notification signed by City Police Commissioner Mohammad Abu Sufian," the police notification stated.

The list of examination centers under the Rajshahi City Police includes a number of schools, colleges, and madrasas across the city.

"The examination centers under Rajshahi City Police are [list of 27 centers]," the police confirmed.

Authorities are taking comprehensive measures to ensure a secure and fair environment for the large number of students appearing for these important examinations.
