Jhalokathi, Nov 25 (V7N) – The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has withdrawn its expulsion order against Mohammad Tariqul Islam Akon, former joint general secretary of the Kathalia Upazila unit, reinstating his primary membership.

The decision was confirmed in an official notice signed on November 24 by the party’s Senior Joint Secretary General, Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi. The letter stated that Tariqul Islam Akon had previously been expelled from all party positions, including his primary membership, for alleged violations of party discipline. Following his formal appeal, the BNP reviewed the matter and decided to restore his primary membership with immediate effect.

According to the statement, the party expects him to uphold BNP’s policies, maintain organizational discipline, and play an active role in strengthening and revitalizing the party’s activities at the grassroots level.

Party insiders said the withdrawal of the expulsion order comes at a time when BNP is focusing on internal organizational cohesion ahead of its ongoing political programs nationwide.
