RAJSHAHI, March 4, (V7N) — A family in the Puthia Municipality of Rajshahi has raised serious allegations of administrative harassment, claiming a criminal case was filed against them without any prior investigation or verification of facts. The family members, who assert the charges are entirely "false, fabricated, and politically motivated," have called for a high-level impartial probe into the matter.

In his statement, Maruf alleged that the case was orchestrated to socially humiliate his family by leveraging personal grudges and political influence. He identified the plaintiff as Nazmul Haque, the General Secretary of Ward No. 9 Awami League in Puthia Municipality.

The Allegations: The complaint filed by Nazmul Haque includes charges of physical attack, vandalism, and looting of money.

The Defense: The family claims that no such incident took place on the date mentioned in the case and that no family member was involved in any criminal activity.

Procedural Flaws: The speakers at the press conference expressed frustration that the police recorded the case "rapidly" without collecting evidence, verifying the truth of the incident, or hearing the statements of the accused.

The family expressed deep concern over their safety and the damage to their social reputation. They stated that they are currently living in a state of extreme insecurity and mental devastation.

"We respect the law and the judicial system and do not seek revenge," the statement noted. "We simply demand an impartial investigation to uncover the truth and end the harassment of innocent people."

The speakers urged higher administrative authorities to intervene, ensure a fair investigation, and protect the honor of the family. The press conference concluded with a plea to the police to stop using legal proceedings as a tool for political or personal settlement.
