Kushtia, Feb 18 (V7N) – Maulana Muhammad Mamunul Haque, the Amir of Bangladesh Khelafat Majlis, urged the young generation to uphold and promote Islamic values during his visit to Islamic University (IU) on Monday.
Speaking at an event organized by Bangladesh Khelafat Chhatra Majlis at IU's Bot Tola, Mamunul Haque emphasized the importance of the university's role in preserving Islamic education and principles. He stated, "If Islamic University fails to uphold these values, its name should be reconsidered."
The discussion was attended by several distinguished individuals, including Dr. A B M Siddiqur Rahman Asrafi, Dean of the Faculty of Theology; Dr. Muhammad Jahangir Alam, Treasurer; and Dr. Md. Obaidul Islam, Student Advisor.
Mamunul Haque also highlighted the country's historical struggles for independence, urging that the same determination should be applied to protect Islamic values. He remarked, "Gen Z has witnessed significant changes, from Digital Bangladesh to Smart Bangladesh. They now aspire to see a nation rooted in Islamic ideals and advocating for an Islamic governance system."
