Dhaka, Apr 02 (V7N) - The newly appointed High Commissioner of Bangladesh to Australia, F.M. Borhan Uddin, formally presented his Letter of Credence to the Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, Sam Mostyn, in a ceremony held at the Government House in Canberra.
Upon his arrival, High Commissioner Borhan Uddin was received by Jonathan Muir, Chief of Protocol at Australia's Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT). Governor-General Mostyn extended a warm welcome and expressed best wishes for his tenure.
During their discussion, the High Commissioner conveyed greetings from the President, the Chief Adviser, and the people of Bangladesh, which the Governor-General reciprocated. They also exchanged views on matters of mutual interest, emphasizing the strengthening of bilateral and multilateral cooperation.
The ceremony marked a reaffirmation of the strong diplomatic ties between Bangladesh and Australia, highlighting ongoing collaboration in various sectors, including trade, education, and regional security.
