Dhaka, May 17 (V7N) – The investigation committee formed to probe the illegal and violent incidents during the July Revolution on the Dhaka University (DU) campus has issued a public call for information and evidence.

In an urgent notice signed by Saifuddin Ahmed, the Member Secretary of the committee and current DU Proctor, the committee has invited any individual with relevant information—students, teachers, officials, or staff—to submit written complaints with supporting evidence.

The incidents in question occurred between July 15 and August 5 last year, a period marked by intense student protests and confrontations on campus. A preliminary fact-finding committee had earlier identified 128 students allegedly involved, who were subsequently temporarily expelled following a DU Syndicate meeting on March 17.

To ensure a more thorough investigation, the Syndicate later formed a five-member committee. As part of its extended inquiry, the committee is now seeking additional evidence that may implicate others not yet identified.

Submissions can be made by emailing: [email protected], or by contacting the DU Proctor's Office, no later than June 15. The committee has assured that the identity of all informants will be kept confidential.

This move signals a broader effort by the DU administration to ensure accountability and transparency in dealing with the aftermath of last year’s campus unrest.
